January 21, 1999 2. That a group housing use permit for seven single-family duplex residential units in the 1100 block of South Street is hereby granted to the applicant, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, subject to the following terms and conditions: (a) The applicant shall construct no more than seven single-family duplex residential units in accordance with the submitted floor plans and elevations, contained in Exhibits A and B, which are attached hereto and made a part hereof. The Director of Community Quality and Planning Services is authorized to approve minor modifications to said plans and elevations. (b) A landscaping plan shall be submitted to and approved by the Director of Community Quality and Planning Services prior to the issuance of any building permits. (c) The applicant shall obtain a parking exception prior to issuance of any building permits. (d) The applicant and any successor in interest shall comply with all applicable statutes, ordinances and regulations of federal, state and local governments and shall obtain and maintain in effect all required permits. 3. EXPIRATION OF PERMIT: Unless extended as provided under Section 40-115 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988), the group housing use permit shall expire for any portion of the approved project for which building permits have not been issued if the applicant fails to apply for all building permits for the entire project within one year of the adoption of this resolution. 4. REVOCATION OF PERMIT: Violation of any of the above conditions may serve as grounds for revocation of the permit by the City Council." Bill Watson, 4740 West Norfolk Road, spoke on the city's intentions to enforce State law pertaining to medical transport vehicles for hire. · Councilman Whitehurst asked the City Manager to take appropriate information and forward to appropriate State agency. - City Manager's Report- 99-06 - Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey the lands designated as Portsmouth Commerce Park to the Industrial Development Authority of the City of Portsmouth. Recommendation: Adoption of a resolution authorizing the City designated as Portsmouth Commerce Park Authority (IDA) of the City of Portsmouth.
