©9 <br /> <br />September 15~ 1971 <br /> <br /> 71-419 - Mr. Raymond Smith made a motion and Mr. Johnson seconded to have a public hear- <br />ing on the issue of including in the November election a referendum on the Commissioner of <br />Revenue and the Office of the City ~reasurer to be appointed by tho City Manager, and that <br />site to be chosen for the hearing be largerenough to accommodate an extensive citizen as- <br />semblage, was adopted without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 71-420 On motion of Mr. Turner and seconded by Mr. Holley, to have City Council go on <br />record as opposing the maintenance of detention and concentration camps in the U. S., was <br />defeated by the following vote: <br /> <br /> 71-421 Mr. Johnson <br />by the City Attorney and <br />on land, was defeated by <br /> <br />Nays: Holley~ Johnson, King, Irvine Smith, Raymond.~mith, ~arnes <br /> <br /> made a motion and Mr. Raymond Smith seconded that all current suits <br /> City Assessor pertaining to buildings, be dropped but maintain suits <br /> the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Johnson, Raymond Smith <br />Nays: Holley, King, Irvine Smith, Turner, Barnes <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
