This appoints <br />five viewers for the closing of a portion of Hull Street between Bagley Street and Frederick <br />Boulevard for a distance of approximately 100 feet. <br /> <br /> The?~djeifiimg~rDperty owners have requested this closing. It has been approved by <br />the Planning Commission and is of no .value as a street to the City.' <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Turner and seconded by Mr. johnson, the following resolution was <br />ad~pted, and by. the foll6wing vote: <br /> <br />"RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF HULL STREET <br />BETWEEN BAGLEY STREET AND FREDERICK BOULEVAR~ FOR A DISTANCE OF APPROXI- <br />MATELY 100 FEET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Felix Sparks, Jr., Ida Sparks, and John Thomas have made application to vacate <br />and close the hereinafter described portion of a certain street and it appearing that notice <br />of the application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on November <br />12, 1971, on the bulletin board of the Court of Hustings for the City of Portsmouth, on the <br />Virginia Electric and Power Company pole number 9121 at the northeast corner of Hull and <br />Bagley Streets, and on the Virginia Electric and Power Company pole number 9064 at the north <br />side of Hull Street west of Bagley Street in front of subject property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that Frank N. Bilisoty, L. A. Clarke, Luther Tapp, James Choate and Loyed W. Gardner, be <br />appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such street and report to <br />this council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would <br />result from vacating and closing the~ follawing: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point where the southern boundary line of lot 536 as shown on the Plat <br />of North Truxton intersects the east s~ide of Bagley Street; thence running easterly a distance <br />of 95 feet to a point; thence running southerly a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence <br />running westerly a distance of 100 feet to a point on the east side of Bagley Street; thence <br />running northerly along the east side of Bagley Street a distance of 50 feet to the point <br />of beginning.
