<br />Sandie and the Bar Association, was adopted by the following vote:

<br />PERTAINING TO PORTSMOUTH~gOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE TAGS OR DECALS."

<br /> "My most enthusiastic support for the City Council's consideration of stricter control
<br />of-dogs in Portsmouth. I have treated enough dog bites by alledgedly friendly neighborhood
<br />animals to be very concerned about the large number of loose animals roaming Churchland. '
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Johnson, ~econded by Mr. Raymond Smith, to be received as information
<br />and that the dog ordinance be brought back to,next Council meeting, was adopted by"the
<br />following vote:

<br /> 72-81 - The following letter received from Mrs. S. J. Gillikin,

<br /> "I am writing in regard to students b~ing counted tardy at Waters Jr. High School and,~
<br /> WilsOn because the-buses are late. I have no control over the bus service, but I think if
<br /> the Elementary children were allowed to go to school in their neighborhood it would help
<br /> the Jr.'High and High School to have,better bus service. I have three children in three
<br /> different schools and one car. I don't think any child should be counted ~ardy-if the buses
<br /> are late, the teachers, and principal say they can't do anything about it. I would apprecia~
<br /> you doing something about this matter." ~

<br /> "This letter is concerning the school bus service from the HOd~es Manor area to Waters
<br /> Junior High School. I am not complaining because my son has!t~ride-a bus,~but because the
<br /> school bus is continually late in the morning. He arrives late at school 3 out of 5 school
<br /> days. Sometimes the bus doesn't come in the afternoon when shcool is out, causing him to
<br /> have to ride the-straglers buS: ~-,: - ~:- .
<br />
<br /> The buS,company doesn,t s, eem to be to sympathetic, the official blame the drivers, ~
<br /> can understand the bus being l'ate once in a while, but when it is late 3 and 4 times a week
<br />I think maybe the schedule could be wrong. -
