<br />Prayer was offered by Councilman King.

<br />72-118 The following ordinance was read:

<br />1961, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW ARTICLE NUMBERED SA, CONSISTING OF SECTIONS SA-1

<br />VIRGINIA, 1961, SUCH SECTION BEING A PART OF THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE
<br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTH PERTAINING TO UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED IN
<br />SUBDIVISIONS."

<br />Attorney Benjamin Levy spoke in favor.

<br /> Mr. Harold Beaver, Agent, spoke in favor -- suggested that the ordinance be tabled~in
<br />order to allow further study.

<br />NARCO of Tidewater Inc. in their zoning application for the property at 2211 County Street,
<br />as recommended by the Planning Commission.
<br />
<br />I feel that this will enable NARCO to continue the figh.t against 'drug abuse'."
