<br />Standard Plumbing Code.

<br /> The ordinance requires all plumbing work to conform to the 1971 Edition, including the
<br />1972 Revision of the Southern Standard Plumbing Code. This updates the City Code to conform
<br />to the 1971 Edition and the 1972 Revisions as adopted by the Southern Building Code Congress.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, the following ordinance was approved

<br />This amends Section 1-2 of the City Code pertaining to definitions and rules of construction.

<br /> These are technical amendments and a part of the City Attorney's program of updating
<br />the City Code. Under the definition of streets, bridge and approaches has been included,
<br />and sidewalks included in the width of streets.'~

<br /> On motion of Mr. Johnson and seconde by Mr. Smith, the following ordinance was approved

<br />lgnere barricades are required in City streets, the new ordinance calls for yellow flashing
<br />lights rather than red lights. This ordinance also requires permission from the City Manager'~
<br />office to place flags, banners or decorations across City streets. Elmhurst Lane sout~ of
<br />Airline Boulevard has also been included in streets requiring a 50-ft. setback line."
