<br /> 72-459 - ,Due to five Tuesdays falling in October, there will be a two-week period with
<br />no Council meeting between this meeting and the meeting scheduled for November 14. By ordina
<br />once, the December meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays. This will make the
<br />last meeting in November and the first meeting in December one week apart.
<br /> By adjusting the two November meetings to November 7 and November 21, this will make
<br />the Council meetings for the balance of 1972 occur every other week. It will require action
<br />by the City Council to change the above dates."
<br /> On motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. King, to concur in the recommendation of the
<br />City Manager, was adopted by the following vote:

<br /> 72-460 "I submit the attached agreement between the City of Chesapeake and the City
<br />of Portsmouth and recommend the proper City officials be authorized to sign., This allows
<br />for additional water service for the City of Chesapeake at Bowers Hill.
<br />
<br /> This is a supplemental agreement to the original agreement with Chesapeake for water
<br /> entered into in 1969. It provides for the installation of an additional meter to serve
<br /> a water storage tank that Chesapeake has constructed at Bowers Hill."

<br /> On motion of Hr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, to concur in the recommendation of
<br /> the City Manager, was adopted by the following vote:

<br /> 72-461 - '~aryview Hospital is faced With a problem of obtaining electrical service to
<br /> its new Mental Health Center. The problem is with the Virginia Electric and Power Cmmpany
<br /> in that it is bounded by.a State Corporation Commission regulation that prohibits their
<br /> crossing public property after they ~c~,~e~-~ private property. This relates to a small section
<br /> of West Road that is not closed.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Donald Kilgore, Attorney representing the hospital, is.in the~process of.taking
<br />necessary legal steps to have this portion of the road closed in order for electric~l service
<br />to be furnished to the ho}pital. In order that the legal process can continue, it is re-
<br />quested that the City Council take action by referring this matter to the Planning Commission
<br />for their action.

<br />FOR PROCESSING A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION."
