73-105 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend_its adoption. This requests
<br />the Virginia A~lcoholic Beverage Control Board to.allow the sale of alcoholic beverages
<br />in the City until 2:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday, during the period of daylight saving

<br /> This resolution was submitted last year to the board but due to the lateness of the
<br />submission, it was not approved. The board did advise that this could-be resubmitted
<br />this year for consideration for the summer of 1973.

<br /> On motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. King the following resolution was adopted,

<br />TWO A.M. MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY DURING THE PERIOD OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME.

<br /> ~EREAS, the sale of alcoholic beverages in the City of Portsmouth is now permitted
<br />until One A.M, during the period of daylight saving time; and
<br />
<br /> ~HEREAS, the Council of the City o~ Portsmouth desires that the sale of such beverages
<br />be allowed until Two A.M. on.Monday through Saturday during the period of daylight saving
<br />time.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDby the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br />that the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Contro~Board he and hereby is strongly urged to
<br />permit the sale of alcoholic beveragesin the City of Portsmouth until Two A.M. on Monday

<br />a brief hearing concerning the unsafe, unsanitary ditches in' £ront-of the schooland better
