The proposed expenditure for this office and staff not <br />to exceed $25,000.00 for fiscal year 1973-74, It was further recommended by the Commissio: <br />and the City's independent Auditors, that the new Auditor be of CPA quality with back- <br />ground experience and knowledge in audit procedures. <br /> <br /> This new office should be appointed by Council or its representatives with full <br />reporting responsibility to Council and~administratively under thee jurisdiction ~ the <br />City Manager. ~ <br /> <br /> The current ordinance creating the Finance Commission designates the City Auditor <br />for assistance to the Finance Commission in the performance of its duties.
