The area designated "HIGHLANDS" lies between George Washington Highway and Desp <br />Creek Boulevard from Frederick Boulevard to the Chesapeake Corporate Limits. It contains <br />two housing projects administered by the U. S. Navy and the Williams Court Housing Projec <br />which is being phased out by the City of Chesapeake. The area is adjacent to "Cradock" <br />which has been the subject of an earlier effort of this type. <br /> <br /> Overall, development of this program has been reviewed favorably by the Citizens <br />Advisory Committee (CAC). In recommending your approval, the City Planning Commission <br />is acting in accordance~with procedures laid down by the City Manager in the process of <br />an earlier Workable Program Recertification. The attached brochures will be distributed <br />throughout the "HIGHLANDS" neighborhood by various inspectors involved in the Codes En- <br />forcement effort in an attempt to explain this program and enlist support of citizens ~f- <br />fected." <br /> <br /> <br />
