<br />Mr. J. N. Garrett, Jr., 2712 Steling Point Drive, spoke against the petition.
<br />
<br />Mr. J. D. Spanagel, 3116 Verne Avenue, spoke against the petition.

<br /> Motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, to concur in recommendation of the

<br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE (
<br />AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF PORTSMOUTH BOULEVI
<br />
<br /> WtlEREAS, Miller Home & Day Nursery has made
<br />40-67 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virgi
<br />use permit as hereinafter described; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Dire
<br />required to be completed in connection with said
<br />
<br /> ~IEREAS, the Planning Commission has conside
<br />and recommended favorable disposition.

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci

<br />The following Zoning Ordinance Amendments were read:

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA,
<br />1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 4048 THEREOF PERTAINING TO REQUIREMENTS FOR
<br />P~RKtNG LOTS; AND AMENDING SECTION 40-?6 THEREOF PERTAINING TO USES
<br />PERMITTED IN OFFICE RESIDENTIAL OR-TS DISTRICTS."
<br />
<br /> On motion of Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Smith, the ordinance was approved
<br />on first reading, and by the following vote:
<br />
