Hagemeister, <br /> <br />Absent: E. Saunders Early, Jr., James W. Holley <br /> <br />Pray6~:was offered by Vice Mayor King. <br /> <br /> 74-40 Public Hearing on the following resorting, use permit and Zoning Ordinance <br />Amendments: <br /> <br />Zoning Petition Z 74-1 Petition of Hall Development Corporation <br /> <br /> Mr. C~ M. Hall, President, Hall Development Corporation~spoke in favor of the <br />petition. <br /> <br />Mr. J. N. Garrett, Jr., 2712 Steling Point Drive, spoke against the petition. <br /> <br />Mr. J. D. Spanagel, 3116 Verne Avenue, spoke against the petition. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Smith and seconded by Mr. Johnson, to concur in recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission, the petition was denied by the following vcte: <br /> <br />Ayes: Johnson, King, Smith, Wentz, Barnes <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Use Permit 74-2 Petition of Miller Home <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Sm <br />adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE ( <br />AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF PORTSMOUTH BOULEVI <br /> <br /> WtlEREAS, Miller Home & Day Nursery has made <br />40-67 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virgi <br />use permit as hereinafter described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Dire <br />required to be completed in connection with said <br /> <br /> ~IEREAS, the Planning Commission has conside <br />and recommended favorable disposition. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci <br /> <br /> A.
