Butt a~d to,~b? p~esen~ed~a~;the~e~t Council <br />meeting, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded <br /> <br />APPROVE~ %. <br /> Mayor b/ <br /> <br />by Mr. Elliott, the meeting adjourned-at 9:35 p.m. <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br />Letter Professional Bondsmen <br /> <br /> "After the second Council Meeting,.concerning <br />Fees, we, the Bondsmen were requested zn a letter <br />information to substantiate our request. <br /> <br />the increase of Professional Bonding <br />from Mr. Ottavio, to furnish statistical <br /> <br /> At the third Council Meeting, this informatio.n was furnished and documented by all <br />the Courts of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> Professional Bonds, (as indicated by official General District Court Records) now <br />account for only 20% of all types of bonds for warrants and summonses (which heretofore <br />were warrants issued in the City of Portsmouth). <br /> <br /> We, the Professional Bondsmen of the City of Portsmouth are in desperate need of the <br />proposed fee change and cannot wait until ne~t~year for a decisioh by the City Council. <br /> <br /> Therefore, if the Professional Bondsmen are no~ offered relief, we shall be compette~ <br />to dispense with our services as of November 1, 1974." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Wentz, to be received as information, was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> <br />
