December 3, 1974 <br /> <br />Mrs. <br />was <br /> <br />74-507 - Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott, to suspend the rul'es for <br />H. G. Woghrle, Vice President.of PortsmoUth Area Council of Garden Clubs, to speak <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Woehrle spoke regarding and endorsing the V.P.I. Extension Service for the City <br />of Portsmouth. No action was taken by City Council. <br /> <br /> 74-508 - Motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Oast, that the City Attorney prepare <br />a resolution expressing the concern of City Council regarding the Work Release Program <br />and be forwarded to the proper State office was adopted, and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Holley, Oast, Wentz <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 74-509 A budget discussion for the Fiscal Year 1975-76 was held and a memorandum <br />prepared by the City Manager and his staff was presented. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Elliott and seconded by Mr. Early, the meeting adjourned at 11:35 p.m. <br /> <br />.F e ro' / v <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />74-476 Letter from City Manager <br /> <br /> Bids were received on November 14, 1974, to provide six radios for ambulances in the <br />City of Portsmouth operated under contract with Portsmouth Ambulance Service, and for two <br />radios for City vehicles to tie into the emergency medical radio system of the hospitals <br />in the area.
