Saunders Early, Jr., Archie Elliott, Jr., <br />James W. Holley, Edward L. Oast~Jr'~, Robert W. Wentz, Jr., R. T. Williams, <br />City Manager, H. M. Myers, Jr., Assistant City Manager, Gordon B.~ Tayloe, Jr., <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br /> In accordance with resolution adopted on April 22, 1975, the meeting was held in the T. A <br />Willett Auditorium, Woodrow Wilson High School, beginming at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> The Rev. Mr. James'Drinard Smith, Pastor, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, opened the <br />meeting with prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Davis welcomed all visitors in attendance. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Barnes, the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />April 22, 1975, to be approved as received, was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BusINESS <br /> <br /> 75-133 <br />up and read: <br /> <br />The following ordinance deferred on final reading of April 22, 1975, was taken <br /> <br />"ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 75-2" <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Holley and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the ordinamce was adopted, and by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, HollDy <br />Nays: Oast, Wentz, Davis <br /> <br /> 75-133 - The following ordinance deferred on final reading of April <br />up and read: <br /> <br />"ZONING ~IENDMENT ORDINANCE Z 7~a~" <br /> <br />22, 1975, was taken <br /> <br /> The following letter received from Wilmer O. Rowe, Vice Pres~ent, Seaguard Corporation, <br />was ~r. esented: <br /> <br /> "It is requested that the Zoning Amendment Ordinancw Z 75-4, Petition of Seaguard <br />Corporanion, to be deferred until the meeting of City Council to be held on May 27, 1975, <br />to the meeting of May 13, 1975, will be a public hearing on the budget." <br /> <br />due <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, that deferment be granted, was adopted by <br />a vote of 6-1 (Oast abstaining). <br /> <br /> 75-159 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at regular meeting of April <br />22, 1975, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE'$7,270.50 THE FEDERAL GRANTS FUND FOR TWO SUMMER <br />INTERNS AND DICTATION/TRANSCRIBING EQUIPMENT FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COMMONWEALTH'S <br />ATTORNEY." <br /> <br /> On m~ion of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Holley, the ordinance was adopted, and by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />22, <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Holley, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />75-160 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at regular meeting of April <br />1975, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $6,200 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />REPAIRS TO THE INCINERATOR CHIMNEY. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Wentz and aeconded by Mr. Early, the ordinance was adopted, and by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Barnes, Early, Elliott, Holley, Oast, Wentz, Davis <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Wentz, <br />Tower Company, being low bidder, and authorization be <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />that the contract be awarded to Service <br />granted to enter into contract, was <br /> <br /> 75-162 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at regular meeting of April <br />22, 1975, was taken up and read: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $$5,000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR <br />REPAIRS TO THE FIVE MI~E POST WATER STORAGE RESERVOIR." <br /> <br /> <br />
