The City Manager recommends adoption on first <br />r~a~ng." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Holtey, the following ordinance was approved <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $146,900 FROM THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TR~ST <br />FUND IN THE CATEGORY OF CAPITAL IMPROVemENTS FOR DRAINAGE." <br /> <br /> 76-51 "Consideration of an o~dinance on first reading to appropriate $43,818.24 from <br />the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund in the categories of Capital Improvements, Senior <br />Citizens, Operating and Maintenance/Public Safety, and General Purpose Eqmipment. <br /> <br /> This appropriat~sninterest earned on revenue sharing from October, 1976 through January <br />1, 1976. This w~ll provide the necessary funds for parking lot construction at the Beazley <br />Senior Citizens Center and operation funds for the Police-Community Relations Program throu <br />out the City. We have been doing supplemental funding to Police-Community Relations from <br />the interest on revenue sharing since the expiration of the PCR grant three yearsaago. The <br />City Manager recommends adoption on first reading." <br /> <br /> Mrs. Madeline Folkes, 323 Mt Vernon Avemue, representing Port Norfolk Civic League, <br />spoke on Items 76-51,52, and 53. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Early and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the following ordinance was approve, <br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $43,818.24 FI[OM THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING <br />TRUST FUND IN THE CATEGORIES OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, SENIOR CITIZENS, <br />OPERATING AND bLRINTENANCE-PUBLtC SAFETY 'AND GENERAL PURPOSE EQUIPMENT." <br /> <br /> 76-52 "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $14,000 in the <br />Capital Improvement Fund in the category of Capital Improvements for Recreation. <br /> <br /> This ordinance appropriates the funds provided from the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund <br />as outlined in the ordinance above.
