The City Manager recommends adoption." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Elliott, the following resolution was adopte¢ <br />and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIE~RS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREETS: (1) A <br />PORTION OF WOOL AVENUE EXTENDING APPROXIMATELY 420 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH- <br />ERN RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF HIGH STREET; (2) A PORTION OF PRIMROSE STREET <br />BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY HOLLADAY STREET AND EXTENDING SOUTH FOR A DISTANCE <br />OF $O FEET; (5) A PORTION OF HOLLADAY STREET BOUNDED ON THE EAST BY ELM <br />AVENUE AND ON THE WEST BY ARMSTRONG STREET; (4) AND A PORTION OF MOUNT VERNON <br />AVENUE APPROXIMATELY 256 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTHERN RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF HIGH <br />STREET AND ALSO A PORTION OF MOUNT VERNON AVENUE APPROXIMATELY 56 FEET SOUTH <br />OF THE PORTION HERETOFORE DESCRIBED. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has made application to vacate <br />and close the hereinafter described portion of certain streets, and it appearing that <br />the notice of the application' and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted <br />March 12, 1976, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />the bulletin board of the City Council chambers of the City of Portsmouth and on the bulletin <br />board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />that Frank N. Bilisoly, Harrison Miller, Robert Reed, R. Irvine Smith, and Charles R. <br />Hudgins be appointed as viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such streets <br />and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia and comprising that portion of Wool Avenue as shown <br />~mua plat entitled, "Plat Showing Portions Of Mount Vernon Avenue A~d Wool <br />Avenue To Be Closed, Portsmouth, Virginia, For Mt.
