<br />May 25, 1976, to be approved as received, was, adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> 76-196 The following ordinance, approved on first reading at the regular meeting of
<br />May 25, 1976, was~taken up and read:

<br />!~NCORD~M~NCE TO APPROPRIATE $420,000 FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITY FUND FOR
<br />INSTALLATION OF A 16 INCH WATER MAIN FROM THE EASTERN APPROACH TO THE
<br />PROPOSED NEW WESTERN FREEWAY BRIDGE TO AN EXISTING 16 INCH WATER MAIN
<br />ON CHAUTAUQUA AVENUE; AND FOR INSTALLATION OF A 12 INCH WATER MAIN ON
<br />PENINSULA AVENUE FROM LONDON BOULEVARD TO SPRATLEY STREET AND ON SPRATLBY
<br />STREET TO CRAWFORD STREET AND FO~T LANE."

<br />OFF-SITE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD IN-THE VIdlNITY OF
<br />DAIL'S HARDWARE.'

<br />being low bidder, in the amount of $58,658.00, was~adopted by unanimous vote.

<br /> 76-201 - The following ordinance, approved on first reading at the regular meeting of
<br />May 25, 1976, was taken up and read:

<br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $122,500 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR
<br />PREDEVELOPMBNT COSTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SECTION 8 ELDERLY HOUSING PROPOSED
<br />FOR THE EFFINGHAM PROJECT."

<br />The following reports from the City M:anager were presented:
<br />
<br /> 76-209 - "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $44,645 from the
<br />Federal Grants Fund for an Automated Offense Reporting System within the Police Department.
<br />
<br /> This appropriation will provide the necessary funds to enable the Police Department to
<br />establish an Automated Offenss Reporting System which will provide for investigative case
<br />controls, r~id crime analysis, and an index system for department records. Of the total
<br />appropriation, $42,41S represents Federal funding and $2,232 represents the required local
<br />cash match. The City Manager recommends adoption on first reading."

<br /> On motion of Mr. Barnes and seconded by Mr. Holley, the following ordinance was approved
<br />on first reading, and by unanimous vote:
