Morris, member of Mental Health/Mental Re~a~tion Services Board: <br /> <br /> "It is with 'deepest regret that I submit my resignation as a member of the Portsmouth <br />Ment,al Health and Mental Retardation Services Board. <br /> <br /> During my tenure on this Board, I have been greatly impressed by the work done by the <br />Board and the accomplishments made in the field of mental health. I have been proud to <br />have been a member of this body, however, the demands of my business hay6 made it increasingly <br />difficult to devote the time which this Board needs and deserves. Consequently, I feel that <br />the best interest of the Board would be served by my resignation and the,appointment of a new <br />member in my place." <br /> <br />George F. Davis, member of Municipal Finance Cormmission: <br /> <br /> "As you know I will be leaving the city at the end of this month. For this reason I <br />very regretfully tender my resignation as a member of the Municipal Finance Commission ef- <br />fective July 31, 1976. <br /> <br /> Having served on this commission, and as its chairman for nearly foyer years, has been <br />one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Gallette, member of the Planning Commission: <br /> <br /> "Due to an unfortunate conflict of meeting dates of <br />Board of Directors meetings at the bank, I have found it <br />bilities as a commissioner of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />the Planning Commiss&on, and my <br />impossible to fulfill my responsi- <br /> <br /> In reviewing the calendar for the balance of this year, the prospects of improving my <br />attendance record will not improve. Attendance at the meetings is extremely important, and <br />I do not believe I am fulfilling my responsibilities to my city, my community, and the <br />Planning Commission if I do not attend the meetings on a regular basis. <br /> <br />tO <br /> <br /> It is, therefore, with sincere regret that I submit my resignation, at your convenience, <br />the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> I would recommend to you very highly a dedicated young man, Robert H. Spencer, Jr., who <br />is employed as a Vice President at my ban~, and who is extremely qualified, and has proven <br />himself ~n various areas of civic activity over the last several years. ~He is a home owner <br />in the city of Portsmouth, has a wife and two chilJren, and would be a ~allued member of the <br />commission. <br /> <br /> Again please accept my sincere regrets, and if I can serve my city in some other area, <br />I ~kall be happy to do so." <br /> <br /> <br />
