5I September 28, 1976 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Raymond TWeed, Vincent Skeeter, }~ward L. Davis and Zalmon Blachman be appointed as viewers to view the hereinafter described portions of such streets and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, wha~ inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: PARCEL I -QUEEN STREET Beginning at the northeast corner of Water Street and Queen Street; thence east along the north right-of-way line of Queen Street approximately 15o feet to the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River; thence south along said river line approximately 52 feet to the south right-of-way line of Queen Street; thence west along said right-of-way approximately 150 feet to the east right-of-way line of Water Street; thence north along said right-of-way approximately 52 feet to the north right-of-way line of Queen Street, the point of beginning. PARCEL II - HIGH STREET Beginning at the northeast corner of~ter Street and High Street; thence east along the north right-of-way line of High Street approximately 160 feet to the southern branch of the Elizabeth River; thence east along said rives line approximately 105 feet to the south right-of-way line of High Street; thence west along said right-o~way approximately 120 feet to the east right-of-way line of Water Street; thence north along said right-of-way approximately 1OS feet to the north right-of-way line of High Street, the point of beginning. PARCEL III - COLUMBIA STREET Beginning on the north right-of-way line of Columbia Street approximately ~55 feet east of the northeast corner of Columbia Street and Crawford Street; · ~ence east along the north right-of-way line of Columbia Street approximately 250 feet to the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth giver; thence south along said river line approximately 50 feet to the south right-of-way line of Columbia Street; thence west along said right-of-way approximately 250 feet to a point; thence north approximately 52 feet to the north right-of-way line of Columbia Street, the point of origin. PARCEL IV - SOUTH STREET Beginning at the northeast corner of South Street and the Crawford Connector; thence east along the north right-of-way line of South Street approximately 180 feet to the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River; thence south along said river line approximately 60 feet to the south right-of-way line of South Street; thence west along said right-of-way approximately 165 feet to the east right- of-way line of the Crawford Connector; thence north along said right-of-way approximately 60 feet to the north right-of-way line of South Street, the point af beginning. PARCEL V- KING STREET Beginning at the northeast corner of King Street and Crawford Street; thence east along the north right-of-way line of King Street to the west ~i~ht-of-way line of Water Street; thence south to. the south right-of-way line of King Street; thence west along said right-of-way to the east right-of-way line of Crawford Street; thence north to the north right-of-way line of King street, the point of beginning." This report was requested at a previous City Council meeting upon submission to the Council of ~the delinquent taxes for 1975-76. This report is submitted for your information."
