The cost
to the employee would be 5% of his salary; i.e., 1% for income taxes and 4% for
~the required contribution.
?

In summary, the survey indicates that a sufficiently large number of employees are in-
terested in employee funded benefits to warrant consideration of that interest by the City,s
administration and the Retirement Board of Trustees. Employee funding should be considered
as an alternative in future retirement decisions. However, the survey results are not in-
consistent with the changes currently proposed; and it is recommended that those changes be
adopted at this time."

Charles W. The Commissioners would like the opportunity to meet with you and individual
members of the Council to review the Twin Pines Study, and, equally as important, our
analyses of several areas in the City where redevelopment or conservation treatment appears
to warrant consideration. As you are well aware, this type system is crucial in view of a
very limited amount of CD funds, ongoing programs in the locality and the total need for re-
development within this community.

We look forward to discussing this matter further with you and if you have any questions
regarding the Twin Pines area at this time, please let us know."

Joseph Preziotti, Jr., 4217 Quince Road, representing Twin Pines Advocate, spoke in
favor of the approach being taken and not to lose the priority of sanitary sewers.

Mot~n of Mr. Wentz and seconded by Mr. Early, the report!~o~be~receive~ a~'information,
and was adop~ddby unanimous vote.

The following reports from the City Manager were presented:

77-272 - "Consideration of an ordinance on first reading to appropriate $54,000 from
the Grants Fund to establish a Summer Food Program for Children.

This appropriation will provide the necessary funds to continue a Summer Lunch Program
for Children to be sponsored by the Department of Pa~ks and Recreation.
