July 18~ 1978

Since this matter was last presented to Council, this office has discussed the situation
' 7:the a licant on numerous occasions. During the last such discussion, it was pointed

-~he~'~otential and danger of settlement and its impact on public facilities such as streets,
storm drainage, waterlines and sanitary sewers. Should the rezoning be approved, the appli-
cants .only alternative would be to apply for a use ipermit to operate a mobile home park. I
mention this because such a use permit would have to be filed with the Planning Commission
and also approved by City Council subsequent to approval of the rezoning.
~ Based on the above discussion, my recommendation is similar to that previously reported
to you on March 28, 1978. It is my recommendati°n that this application be denied and that
appropriate City agencies be instructed to work with the applicant to determine a more appro-
pria%e use.
