ORDINANCE NO. 2026-47 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING WITH APPRECIATION THE DONATION BY <br />THE FRIENDS OF THE PORTSMOUTH MOUNTED PATROL OF A NEW 2026 <br />GORE HORSE TRAILER FOR USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT'S MOUNTED PATROL UNIT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts with appreciation the donation by The Friends of the <br />Portsmouth Mounted Patrol of a new 2026 Gore horse trailer. <br />2. That the trailer shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department's <br />Mounted Patrol Unit. <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 26, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
