ORDINANCE NO. 2026-03 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A "VACATION STARTS WITH VA" MMLP CO-OP <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,250 FROM THE VIRGINIA TOURISM <br />CORPORATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT TO THE FY 2026 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MUSEUMS AND TOURISM FOR <br />MARKETING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts a "Vacation Starts with VA" MMLP Co -Op Program grant in the <br />amount of $1,250 from the Virginia Tourism Corporation and appropriates said amount in the FY <br />2026 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used by the Department of Museums and <br />Tourism for marketing. <br />3. That a 1:1 local match is required as a condition of the funding, which local <br />matching funds have been previously appropriated to the Department of Museums and Tourism in <br />the adopted FY 2026 General Fund budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $1,250. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />January 13, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
