for greater access to employees by the exclusive bargaining agent as a <br />provision of a collective bargaining agreement. <br />(d) To meet with newly hired employees, without charge to the pay or <br />leave time of any of the employees for a minimum of 30 minutes and a <br />maximum of 60 minutes, within 30 calendar days from the date of hire, <br />immediately following new employee orientations conducted by the <br />City and in the same City location or, if the City fails to conduct new <br />employee orientation, during other group or individual meetings of <br />new hires on City premises. The bargaining representative orientation <br />shall be considered a part of any required new City employee <br />orientation, in the sequence described above. The City shall provide <br />the bargaining agent with ten days' notice of the time and place of new <br />employee orientations, a list of expected participants, and the <br />opportunity to provide materials for distribution. This subdivision <br />shall not limit the parties from bargaining to further define this right. <br />(e) To be the only labor organization eligible to receive from the City <br />amounts deducted from employees' pay as authorized by written <br />assignment of the employees, for the payment of regular and periodic <br />dues to the exclusive bargaining agent, unless two exclusive <br />bargaining agents of City employees agree that they can both receive <br />deductions from the same employee. Any such authorization may be <br />revoked in accordance with the terms of the authorization.
