ORDINANCE NO. 2026-84 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A MARKETING LEVERAGE PROGRAM GRANT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $30,000 FROM THE VIRGINIA TOURISM CORPORATION AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2027 GRANTS FUND FOR THE "GO <br />OUTDOORS IN PORTSMOUTH" PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts a Marketing Leverage Program grant in the amount of $30,000 from <br />the Virginia Tourism Corporation and appropriates said amount in the FY 2027 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used by the Department of Museums and <br />Tourism for the "Go Outdoors in Portsmouth" program. <br />3. That a 2:1 local match is required as a condition of the funding, which local <br />matching funds have been previously appropriated to the Department of Museums and Tourism in <br />the adopted FY 2027 General Fund budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2027 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $30,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on August <br />25, 2026. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
