ORDINANCE NO. 2025-23 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FOUR -FOR -LIFE FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$71,391.84 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, OFFICE OF <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE <br />FY 2025 GRANTS FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, <br />RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES TO PURCHASE NECESSARY EMS <br />EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, AND TRAINING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding in the amount of $71,391.84 from the Virginia Department <br />of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services to purchase necessary EMS equipment, supplies, and training. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $71,391.84. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on April <br />22, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
