ORDINANCE NO. 2025-22 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PHAC CONTINUUM OF CARE PLANNING <br />GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $95,199 FROM THE U.S. <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND <br />FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR PLANNING <br />ACTIVITIES TO ADDRESS HOMELESSNESS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts PHAC Continuum of Care Planning Grant funding <br />in the amount of $95,199 and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Social Services <br />Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by Department of Social Services for <br />planning activities to address homelessness. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Social Services Fund budget annually until expended in their entirety. <br />4. That a local match of 25% is required as a condition of the funding, which <br />match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2025 Social Services Fund Budget. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Social Services <br />Fund are increased by $95,199. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on April 8, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
