ORDINANCE NO. 2025-16 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,000 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH THROUGH THE VIRGINIA RESOURCES <br />AUTHORITY AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 GENERAL <br />FUND BUDGET FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LEAD SERVICE LINE <br />REPLACEMENT GAP ANALYSIS AND ACTION PLAN BY THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC UTILITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts funding in the amount of $150,000 from the Virginia Department of <br />Health through the Virginia Resources Authority and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 <br />General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used by the Department of Public Utilities <br />for the development of a Lead Service Line Replacement Gap Analysis and Action Plan. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 General Fund Budget are <br />increased by $150,000. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />February 25, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
