ORDINANCE NO. 2025-105 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING HAZMAT RESPONSE COST RECOVERY <br />FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,636.41 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2026 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, <br />RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE SOUTHSIDE REGIONAL <br />HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TEAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts HAZMAT Cost Recovery funds in the amount of <br />$4,636.41 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for the Southside Regional Hazardous Materials Team. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $4,636.41. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 25, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
