ORDINANCE NO. 2025-101 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING WITH APPRECIATION A DONATION IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $100 FROM THE TIDEWATER BAPTIST MISSIONARY AND <br />EDUCATIONAL CONVENTION INCORPORATED AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS TO THE FY 2026 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO SUPPORT FOSTER CHILDREN AT <br />CHRISTMAS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />I . That it hereby accepts with appreciation a donation of $100 from the <br />Tidewater Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention Incorporated and appropriates <br />said funds to the FY 2026 Social Services Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Social Services <br />to support foster children at Christmas. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2026 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $100. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 25, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
