ORDINANCE NO. 2025-50 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING STATE SHARED EXPENSE REVENUE IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $152,591 AND APPROPRIATING $138,802 OF SAID AMOUNT TO <br />THE JUDICIAL SECTION AND $13,789 OF SAID AMOUNT TO THE GENERAL <br />GOVERNMENT SECTION OF THE FY 2026 GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR <br />THE PAYMENT OF ONE-TIME PERSONNEL BONUSES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts State Shared Expense Revenue in the amount of <br />$152,591 and appropriates $138,802 of said amount to the Judicial Section and $13,789 of <br />said amount to the General Government Section of the FY 2026 General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall be used for the payment of one-time personnel bonuses <br />to employees of Constitutional Officers. <br />That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the Judicial Section of the FY <br />2026 General Fund Budget are increased by $138,802. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the General Government <br />Section of the FY 2026 General Fund Budget are increased by $13,789. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 8, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
