ORDINANCE NO. 2025-41 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING CHILD AND ADULT FOOD CARE PROGRAM <br />FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $444,374.93 FROM THE UNITED STATES <br />DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE <br />FY 2025 GRANTS FUND TO REIMBURSE THE CITY FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />MEALS UNDER THE PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts Child and Adult Food Care Program funding in the amount of <br />$444,374.93 from the United States Department of Agriculture and appropriates said amount in <br />the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used to reimburse the City for the provision of meals under <br />the program. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund Budget are <br />increased by $444,374.93. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on June <br />10, 2025. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
