ORDINANCE NO. 2024-128 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION <br />BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $151,150 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE ENGINEERING <br />DEPARTMENT TO UPGRADE LIGHTING AT CITY PARK. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Energy Efficiency and Block Grant funding in the <br />amount of $151,150 from the U.S. Department of Energy and appropriates said amount in <br />the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation will be used to upgrade lighting at City Park and <br />possibly other recreation areas, depending on funding availability. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $151,150. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
