ORDINANCE NO. 2024-125 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER AND <br />DEPENDENCE FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $167,577.96 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND <br />DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2025 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND BUDGET FOR <br />USE BY BHS TO PROVIDE TREATMENT AND SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Substance Use Disorder and Dependence funding in <br />the amount of $167,577.96 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and <br />Developmental Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services to provide treatment and services. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended in their <br />entirety. <br />4. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding at this time. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $167,577.96. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
