ORDINANCE NO. 2024-92 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA 9-1-1 SERVICES BOARD AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES TO PROVIDE TRAINING <br />FOR PUBLIC SAFETY ANSWERING POINTS PERSONNEL. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts reimbursement grant funds in the amount of $5,000 <br />from the Virginia 9-1-1 Services Board and appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 <br />Grants Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services to provide training for Public Safety Answering Points Personnel. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $5,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 24, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
