ORDINANCE NO. 2024-88 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PROJECTS FOR ASSISTANCE IN <br />TRANSITION FROM HOMELESSNESS FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$4,280 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH <br />AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT <br />IN THE FY 2025 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND FOR <br />TRAINING, TRAVEL, AND OUTREACH SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Projects for Assistance in Transition from <br />Homelessness funding in the amount of $4,280 from the Virginia Department of <br />Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and appropriates said amount in the FY <br />2025 Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used to provide training, travel, and outreach <br />services. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended by the City <br />or withdrawn by the granting entity. <br />4. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding at this time. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $4,280. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 10, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
