ORDINANCE NO. 2024-75 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING GPS MONITORING PROGRAM <br />PARTICIPANT PAYMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,000 AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE CATEGORY OF <br />THE FY 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE OPERATION OF THE <br />PORTSMOUTH SHERIFF'S OFFICE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM <br />MONITORING PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts GPS Monitoring Program participant payments in <br />the amount of $21,000 and appropriates said amount in the Sheriff's Office category of <br />the FY 2025 General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall be used for the operation of the Portsmouth Sheriff's <br />Office Global Positioning System Monitoring Program. That no local match is required <br />as a condition of the funding. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the Sheriff's Office Category <br />of the FY 2025 General Fund Budget are increased by $21,000. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 13, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
