ORDINANCE NO.2024-63 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING ABANDONED OR DERELICT VESSSEL <br />PROGRAM FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $121,336.50 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />MARINE RESOURCES COMMISSION AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 GRANTS FUND FOR THE REMOVAL OF <br />ABANDONED AND DERELICT VESSELS FROM THE CITY'S WATERWAYS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Abandoned or Derelict Vessel Program Funds in <br />the amount of $121,336.50 from the Virginia Marine Resources Commission and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used for the removal of abandoned and derelict <br />vessels from the City's waterways. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $121,336.50. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 9, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
