ORDINANCE NO. 2024-54 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,400 AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2024 SOCIAL SERVICES FUND <br />FOR THE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP MEETING INCENTIVE PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts funding from the Virginia Department of Social <br />Services in the amount of $2,400 and appropriates said amount in the FY 2024 Social <br />Services Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services to fund <br />the Family Partnership Meeting Incentive Program. The funding hereby appropriated <br />covers December 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024. <br />3. That a 15.5% local match is required as a condition of receiving the funds, <br />which match has been previously appropriated as part of the Department of Social <br />Services budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2024 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $2,400. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 28, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
