AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY <br />RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $871 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND <br />DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2024 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND FOR <br />MAINTAINING SUPPORT AND SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED <br />WITH AN INTELLECTUAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Developmental Disability Residential Support funds <br />in the amount of $871 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and <br />Developmental Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2024 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services for maintaining support and services for individuals diagnosed with an <br />intellectual or developmental disability. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended by the City <br />or withdrawn by the granting entity. <br />4. That no additional local funding is required. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2024 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $871. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 10, 2023. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
