Commercial or Mixed -Use 2.0 <br />DI T4, DI T5, DI T6, DI SD, and 2.0 <br />Innovation Overlay District <br />Parking Lots (when stand -alone use) 2.0 <br />Industrial Use (not abutting <br />Residential, Public and Institutional, N/A <br />Commercial, or Mixed -Use) <br />Industrial Use (abutting Residential, <br />Public and Institutional, Commercial, 2.0 <br />or Mixed -Use) <br />30. Subsection 40.2- 306(D)(2) of the City Code is amended as follows. <br />Sec. 40.2 -306. Exterior Lighting. <br />(D) General Standards for Exterior Lighting. All exterior lighting shall meet the <br />following standards: <br />(2) Maximum Lighting Height. <br />(a) Except for outdoor sports fields or performance areas, the height of <br />outdoor lighting, whether mounted on poles or walls or by other <br />means, shall be no greater than 16 feet in residential districts and no <br />greater than 30 feet in commercial and mixed -use districts. <br />(b) Illumination of outdoor seating areas, building entrances, and <br />walkways shall be accomplished by use of ground- mounted fixtures <br />not more than four feet in height. <br />(c) Except as provided in this subsection (c), the height of outdoor lighting <br />in industrial districts shall be no greater than 30 feet. The Zoning <br />Administrator may approve, or approve with conditions, a twenty -five <br />(25) percent increase to the height of outdoor lighting in industrial <br />districts upon finding in writing that the following conditions are met: <br />(i) The applicant has provided a detailed assessment <br />demonstrating that compliance with the 30 foot requirement <br />is impossible or impractical, and specifying what measures <br />will be taken to address the impacts to the maximum extent <br />practicable if a height increase is granted, <br />17 <br />
