g °t 2022 -87 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PLANNING GRANT FUNDING IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $41,746 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE PORTSMOUTH HOMELESS AREA <br />CONSORTIUM CONTINUUM OF CARE AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT TO THE FY 2023 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts planning grant funding in the arnount of $41,746 <br />from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Portsmouth <br />Homeless Area Consortium Continuum of Care and appropriates said amount to the FY <br />2023 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services for <br />eligible planning activities. <br />3. That a local match in the amount of $10,436.50 is required as a condition <br />of receiving the funds, which match has been previously appropriated as part of the <br />Department of Social Services budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $41,746. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 27, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
