IRS *0 -123 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A BULLETPROOF VEST PARTNERSHIP <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,355 FROM THE U.S. <br />DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY <br />2021 GRANTS FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT AND THE PORTSMOUTH SHERIFF'S OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts a Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program grant in the <br />amount of $11,355 from the U.S. Department of Justice and appropriates said funds in <br />the FY 2021 Grants Fund Budget. <br />2. That $2,805 of said funds shall be used for the cost of bulletproof vests for <br />the Police Department and 58,550 shall be used for the cost of bulletproof vests for the <br />Sheriff's Office. <br />3. That the grant requires a local match in the amount of ] 00�'c of the <br />funding, which match has previously been appropriated in the amounts of $2,805 in the <br />FY 2021 Budget for the Police Department and $8,550 in the FY 2021 Budget for the <br />Sheriff's Office. <br />4. That revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund budget are <br />increased by $11,355. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth.
