2020 -116 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />PERFORMANCE GRANT (SUPPLEMENTAL) FUNDING IN THE SUM OF <br />$49,804 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY <br />MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2021 <br />GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Emergency Management Performance Grant <br />(Supplemental) funding in the sum of $49,804 from the Virginia Department of <br />Emergency Management and appropriates said amount in the FY 2021 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for COVID -19 preparedness and response. <br />3. That a dollar for dollar local match is required as a condition of the grant <br />funding, which match has previously been appropriated to the FY 2021 Budget for the <br />Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $49,804. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on November 10, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
