AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING LOCAL OVERTIME SURGE FUNDING IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $90,000 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL <br />SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2021 SOCIAL <br />SERVICES FUND FOR USE BY DSS TO PAY ELIGIBLE STAFF COSTS <br />RESULTING FROM COVID -19. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts local overtime surge funding in the amount of <br />$90,000 from the Virginia Department of Social Services and appropriates said sum in <br />the FY 2021 Social Services Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Social Services <br />�. Ihat a local match in the amount ot' I j.D '/o is required as a condition of the <br />funding, which amount has been previously been budgeted as part of the approved FY <br />2021 DSS Budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Social Services <br />Fund are increased by $90,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on October 27, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
