AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING VIRGINIA HOMELESS SOLUTION PROGRAM <br />GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2021 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR PORTSMOUTH CONTINUUM OF CARE <br />PLANNING ACTIVITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Virginia Homeless Solution Program grant funds in <br />the amount of $10,000 from the Department of Housing and Community Development and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2021 Grants Fund. <br />Tt <br />_ 1;it <br />3. That a 52,500 local match is required as a condition of the grant, which <br />match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2021 Budget for the Department of <br />Social Services. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $10,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on September 8, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
