1 <br />I "i" �:''.r ._�_ <br />AN ORDINANCE (1) ACCEPTING COVID -19 EMERGENCY FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $34,976 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2021 <br />GRANTS FUND TO SUPPORT COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE <br />PORTSMOUTH HOMELESS ACTION CONSORTIUM CONTINUUM OF CARE <br />AND (2) AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $8,744 FROM THE FY 2021 <br />SOCIAL SERVICES FUND BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE <br />FY 2021 GRANTS FUND TO SERVE AS THE REQUIRED LOCAL MATCH FOR <br />THE COVID -19 FUNDING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts COVID -19 Emergency Funds in the amount of <br />$34,976 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and appropriates <br />said sum in the FY 2021 Grants Fund. <br />2. That it hereby transfers $8,744 from the FY 2021 Social Services Fund <br />Budget and appropriates said sum in the FY 2021 Grants Fund to serve as the required <br />local match for the COVID -19 funding. <br />3. That the funds so appropriated and transferred shall be used to support costs <br />associated with the Portsmouth Homeless Action Consortium Continuum of Care. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $43,720. <br />5. That the FY 2021 Social Services Fund Budget is reduced by $8,744. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 28, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
