ORDINARMNt!% -55 <br />.jjL <br />AN ORDINANCE TO RE- APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $3,033,287.77 OF <br />ENCUMBERED BUT UNEXPENDED FUNDS FROM THE FY 2020 <br />PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS GENERAL FUND INTO THE FY 2021 <br />PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS GENERAL FUND. <br />WHEREAS, Portsmouth Public Schools has reported a total of $3,033,287.77 in <br />open encumbrances that are not anticipated to be expended as of June 30, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, Portsmouth Public Schools has requested that said amount be re- <br />appropriated from the FY 2020 PPS General Fund Budget to the FY 2021 PPS General <br />Fund Budget; <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />(. That it re- appropriates the sum of 53,033,287.77 from the FY 2020 <br />Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund Budget to the FY 202 I Portsmouth Public <br />Schools General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the approved FY 2020 <br />PPS General Fund Budget are decreased by $3,033,287.77. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the approved FY 2021 PPS <br />General Fund Budget are increased by $3,033,287.77. <br />4. That the amount appropriated to the FY 2020 PPS General Fund Budget is <br />decreased by $3,033,287.77. <br />5. That the amount appropriated to the FY 2021 PPS General Fund Budget is <br />increased by $3,033.287.77. <br />6. That the FY 2020 and FY 2021 PPS General Fund approved budgets and <br />appropriations are shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />7.
