Q'RDINANK N9.1010-14 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 FROM THE <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONTINGENCY LINE ITEM IN THE TRANSFERS AND <br />CONTINGENCIES SECTION OF THE NON - DEPARTMENTAL CATEGORY <br />OF THE FY 2020 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />ENGINEERING SECTION OF THE FY 2020 GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR <br />THE REMOVAL OF THE CONFEDERATE MONUMENT LOCATED AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF COURT STREET AND HIGH STREET. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it transfers the amount of $250,000 from the City Manager's <br />Contingency line item in the Transfers and Contingencies section of the Non - <br />Departmental category of the FY 2020 General Fund Budget to the Department of <br />Engineering section of the FY 2020 General Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall he used for the removal of the Confederate Monument <br />located at the intersection of Court Street and High Street. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the City Manager's <br />Contingency line item in the Transfers and Contingencies section of the Non - <br />Departmental category of the FY 2020 General Fund Budget are reduced by $250,000. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the Department of <br />Engineering section of the FY 2020 General Fund Budget are increased by $250,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 23, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
