ANNE K02019-89 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT <br />FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $41,500 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN <br />THE FY 2020 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, <br />RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts State Homeland Security Grant funds in the amount <br />of 541,500 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and appropriates <br />said funds in the FY 2020 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue <br />and Emergency Services for its Hazardous Materials Response Team. <br />3. That no match is required for the grant funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $41,500. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
